Planting a Three Sisters Garden
Saturday, June 7
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
The three sisters, corn, beans, and squash, work together to help each other grow. Corn, the oldest sister, standing tall in the middle, while squash protects the soil with her leaves and beans grow through those leaves and climb the corn. We invite children of all ages to join us as we celebrate spring and the new growing season as we plant our gardens with the three sisters.

Adventure Wednesday: Earthborn Garden
Wednesday, June 11
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Join us for Adventure Wednesday, a monthly field trip program for homeschoolers and daytime learners ages 4 and up. Each month, we explore a new destination in the area, from CLC conservation areas and local farms to museums, businesses, and state parks like the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site.
Want to stay in the loop? Email youth@roejanlibrary.org for more information and to receive monthly reminders about upcoming trips.
This month, we’re heading to Earthborn Garden in Hillsdale on May 11 for a special tour with Anne Banks! Dress for the weather, and get ready for an adventure!
