Adventure Wednesday at Blue Rider Stables

Join us for Adventure Wednesday, a monthly field trip program designed for homeschoolers and daytime learners ages 4+. Every month, the group will meet at a different destination in the area. Email tia@roejanlibrary.org for more information and to receive monthly reminders about upcoming trips.
This month, join Tia at Blue Rider Stables in South Egremont, MA. Blue Rider Stables is a small, family-friendly horseback riding center that focuses on therapeutic riding, through which equestrian activities serve as a healing process for both young kids and adults.
Summer Reading Kickoff with Tom Sieling

Join us at the Roeliff Jansen Community Library for our Summer Reading Kickoff with musician and storyteller Tom Sieling on Saturday, June 27 at 11AM! Tom has delighted children and families across 14 states with his energetic, interactive performances full of music, movement, and laughter. Accompanied by guitar, banjo, and upbeat rhythms, Tom leads audiences through fun participatory songs that are sure to get kids singing, dancing, and even moving a little athletically.
This year’s Summer Reading theme, “Unearth a Story,” comes to life through songs about dinosaurs, animals, and the natural world, along with fascinating facts and colorful stories woven throughout the performance. Tom’s lively show encourages a lifelong love of reading, music, libraries, and outdoor adventure. Perfect for children and families of all ages, this free program is a joyful way to celebrate the start of summer reading at the library.

Join our weekly meetup for parents with babies under 1 to connect, share experiences, and get out with your little ones!
Playtime Wednesdays
Wednesdays | 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Parents and caretakers are invited to enjoy the children’s room Wednesday mornings for a weekly playtime! Read stories, play with toys, make a craft, and spend time with other local families.
Farm Market Kids
Saturdays starting May 30 | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Join our Children’s Library Associates, Michael and Tia, across the road at the Copake Hillsdale Farmers Market every Saturday beginning May 30th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for stories and crafts. All ages are welcome.
