Quilting Bee!
Next Meeting – Thurs. Feb. 2 at 6 pm
Have you ever wanted to learn how to quilt? Or perhaps you’re an experienced quilter with a project you want to start or need to finish? Maybe you used to quilt but need some motivation to get started again?
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert quilter, here’s your chance. Starting in January, quilting classes will be conducted in the Community Room at the Roeliff Jansen Community Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
The first class will be held on Thursday, January 5th and the exact format will be determined at that time, based on the needs of the group.
So that each person receives individual attention, class size will be limited to 10 and pre-registration is required.
Those interested may sign up at the library; or by calling Gloria Kadish at 518-672-4036
The class instructor is Catherine Kane, owner of Brookside Quilt Works in Egremont, MA. Catherine is the past president of the Berkshire Quilting Guild and an experienced teacher and quilter. One of her quilts will be displayed in the library at the very end of the year.
There is a $10.00 fee for each session, and a portion of the proceeds will support program development at the Library.
