The building committee and architect explored many options before arriving at the current plan.  Along the way we were often asked the following questions: 

• Why can’t you expand on the existing site?
• What about the possibility of acquiring the land immediately abutting the west side of the Library?
• Why are you moving out of the center of Hillsdale?  Weren't there any other sites in town?
