The Roeliff Jansen Community Library is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization. Donations made to the Library are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Update on the building fund:
To date, thanks primarily to gifts large and small from more than 500 generous donors, the library has raised over $2.4 million for our new building.
Because of these visionaries we have a new community asset generating excitement with children’s programs, speakers, films and special events. Since the opening, we have watched in awe as over a hundred people have consistently shown up to hear each of our speakers in our spacious community room. A pool of over 75 talented volunteers has come forward to work in the library, orchestrate these events and help on special projects.
To keep this momentum going we need your financial help. We still have to complete and pay for a geothermal climate control system to keep us cool this summer. Our operating budget needs further funding for 2011. And we have debt to retire.
